Mountaintide is made up of Holly Bishop and Jim Newsom, a pair of versatile acoustic musicians and songwriters. Touching on influences from the folk era and singer-songwriter genre to the classic soul music of Motown and Memphis with touches of rock, jazz and bluegrass thrown in for seasoning, the pair’s harmonic stew is tasty and invigorating.
"With a sweet acoustic vibe Moutaintide’s self produced debut creates a carefree feeling like a day spent hiking in the hills or strolling on the beach." - Paul Shugrue, WHRV "Out of the Box"
